By installing and using the Public Wi-Fi Phishing Alert browser extension ("the Extension"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use or install the Extension.
Public Wi-Fi Phishing Alert is designed to provide visual warnings (hazard overlays) when a captive portal is detected. It is intended to increase situational awareness against rogue access points (e.g., Evil Twin attacks) on public Wi-Fi networks.
The Extension is provided "AS IS", without warranty of any kind.
While Public Wi-Fi Phishing Alert provides an added layer of situational awareness, it does not guarantee absolute security or threat prevention. It cannot prevent you from voluntarily submitting sensitive data, nor can it detect all possible network interception methods.
By using this Extension, you acknowledge that you remain solely responsible for your own network security, data privacy, and browsing behavior. Under no circumstances shall the developer(s) be held liable for any data loss, security breaches, unauthorized access, or damages arising from the use or inability to use this software.
This software is published for educational and network security purposes. The source code is open-source and distributed under the terms of the MIT License. You are free to inspect, modify, and distribute the code in accordance with that license.
